We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development and deployment of AI initiatives for defense capabilities. You will design and deploy generative AI, NLP, and predictive models to transform unstructured data into actionable insights.

- Lead development and deployment of generative AI and NLP solutions for engineering applications
- Design, fine tune, and deploy LLMs to interpret complex regulatory texts
- Convert regulatory content into computer processable formats
- Architect NLP driven methods to map natural language requirements to metadata entities
- Implement RAG pipelines for high accuracy querying of technical documentation
- Develop time series forecasting models for spend and material demand
- Build ML classifiers to categorize supplier risks and anomalies
- Design data extraction pipelines from Data Lakehouse, SAP, and other sources
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate AI models via APIs
- Optimize model performance for large scale datasets
- Validate model outputs against test cases and historical data
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning with production deployment
- Expert proficiency in Python and ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit learn, Pandas, NumPy)
- Deep experience with transformer based models (GPT, BERT, Llama) and prompt engineering
- Strong grasp of supervised and unsupervised learning
- Proficiency in handling complex data structures (JSON, XML) and SQL/NoSQL
- Experience with data extraction from specialized formats
- Understanding of RESTful APIs (Flask/FastAPI) and integration
- Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and A/B testing
- Ability to grasp complex domain terminology
- Experience with Agile or Sprint based delivery models
- Strong communication skills
