BIM/GIS Engineer

Role overview

BIM coordination and management

• Review architectural, structural, MEP, and infrastructure models for completeness, accuracy, compliance, clashes, inconsistencies, and constructability.
• Maintain federated models and incorporate approved design changes and field modifications throughout construction.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and support resolution of technical issues.

GIS data management

• Maintain GIS databases containing project geospatial information, utility records, and site data.
• Process, update, validate, and analyze information from surveys, site investigations, and stakeholders.
• Develop maps and GIS reports and support integration of GIS information with BIM models and digital platforms.

Digital information management

• Manage project information within the Common Data Environment and monitor BIM and GIS deliverable workflows.
• Maintain data structures, naming conventions, digital records, information exchanges, and archives according to project standards.
• Ensure project information remains accurate, accessible, controlled, and properly documented.

Quality and construction support

• Verify BIM and GIS deliverables, model quality, data integrity, and information accuracy against project requirements.
• Support site teams with BIM and GIS information for construction monitoring, progress verification, visualization, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate as-built information for project closeout and handover.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, geomatics, GIS, surveying, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in BIM, GIS, digital engineering, or information management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on large construction, engineering consultancy, or site supervision consultancy projects.
• Experience with large buildings, convention centers, hotels, resorts, and mixed-use developments.
• Strong BIM coordination, model review, clash detection, and GIS data management experience.
• Previous GCC experience, preferably in Saudi Arabia, is highly desirable.

Technical and behavioral competencies

• Knowledge of BIM processes, information management, GIS applications, spatial analysis, geospatial mapping, and survey integration.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, ArcGIS, Microsoft Office, and digital collaboration platforms.
• Strong communication, coordination, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and data-accuracy skills.
