Responsibilities

Manage and supervise the hospital's billing department, ensuring efficient and accurate billing operations
Oversee the preparation, submission, and follow up of patient invoices and insurance claims
Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and organizational policies
Monitor and improve revenue cycle performance, including claim submissions, denials management, collections, and reimbursement processes
Review and analyze billing reports, accounts receivable aging, claim rejection trends, and revenue performance metrics
Develop and implement billing policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and minimize revenue leakage
Coordinate with insurance companies, third party administrators (TPAs), and government healthcare entities regarding claim processing and reimbursement matters
Resolve complex billing discrepancies, claim denials, and patient account issues in a timely manner
Lead, train, mentor, and evaluate billing staff to ensure high levels of productivity and performance
Collaborate with clinical, finance, admissions, and medical records departments to ensure accurate charge capture and documentation
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and ensuring compliance with billing standards
Stay updated on healthcare billing regulations, insurance policies, coding requirements, and reimbursement guidelines

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, or medical claims administration
At least 2–3 years in a managerial role
Strong knowledge of hospital billing systems, insurance claims processing, revenue cycle management, and healthcare reimbursement methodologies
Experience working with UAE healthcare insurance regulations, Department of Health (DOH) requirements, and TPAs is highly preferred
Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and billing software

Qualifications and Experience
