About the Role

Responsibilities
- Manage complex commercial mortgage facilities including renewals, refinances, assumptions, annual reviews, and ad hoc requests
- Ensure credit risk is controlled and within approved guidelines
- Assess credit documentation in accordance with policies and underwriting procedures
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members
- Communicate with internal contacts to ensure transactions meet deadlines
- Prepare reports on assigned categories for Senior Management
- Contribute to special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Post secondary education (diploma/degree) preferably in business or finance
- Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset
- Minimum 7 10 years commercial mortgage experience
- Sound technical knowledge of commercial real estate underwriting and financial statement analysis
- Significant exposure to construction and syndicated lending across all asset types
- Working knowledge of AML/ATF regulations and corporate/legal documentation for commercial real estate
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (primarily Word and Excel)
- Effective analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
