SBM Offshore is inviting applicants to join a future talent pool for Logistics Coordinator vacancies that may open in the short, medium, or long term.
The Logistics Coordinator manages equipment and commodity transfers from manufacturing points to construction sites or module yards using multimodal transport.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide freight cost estimates, participate in project execution planning, and develop economical logistics approaches.
- Evaluate supplier transportation plans for commercial and schedule impacts.
- Develop traffic instructions and project routing guides with freight forwarding agencies.
- Provide transport durations to scheduling teams and communicate with regulators and service providers.
- Prepare transportation and logistics scopes of work for requests for quotation.
- Arrange heavy-duty rail cars and motor vehicle equipment.
- Negotiate and execute specialized carrier service agreements.
- Provide site support for special movements, process carrier claims, arrange customs clearance, and coordinate delivery to jobsites or onshore bases.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and at least 8–10 years of logistics-related experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or a similar business.
