A major bank in Riyadh is seeking a senior Basel credit risk RWA specialist to lead a PMO-driven remediation programme.

What You Will Do
- Lead the PMO for a Basel credit risk RWA remediation programme.
- Establish governance, RAID logs, and status reporting for ALCO, the Risk Committee, and other senior stakeholders.
- Drive technical fixes for exposure classification, CRM, ECAI mapping, CCF application, and Q17/SAMA reconciliation.
- Coordinate Business, IT, Risk, Finance, and Data stakeholders across the RWA calculation chain.
- Secure buy-in and close regulatory and audit observations.
- Guide existing junior team members with legacy system knowledge.
- Prepare executive communication packs and manage escalations for senior governance forums.
- Support broader Basel/RWA alignment work involving counterparty credit risk and market risk RWA.
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in Basel credit risk RWA calculation, regulatory reporting, or banking capital adequacy programmes.
- Hands-on knowledge of exposure classification, CRM, ECAI ratings, CCF application, and asset classification.
- Direct SAMA regulatory reporting experience, such as Q17 or equivalent, is strongly preferred.
- Proven PMO or programme management experience in complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to secure buy-in across competing priorities.
- Based in or able to relocate to Riyadh full-time for the contract duration.
- Saudi or GCC banking experience, or consultancy experience delivering regional Basel/RWA programmes, is highly advantageous.
