About the Role

Responsibilities
- Install, program, and test a variety of non routine building automation systems and equipment
- Read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures
- Operate systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions
- Write a variety of non routine programs for systems
- Execute technical aspects of multiple projects including programming, graphics development, start up, certification testing, customer training, and close out documentation
- Provide technical support to end users and act as mentor for other staff members when required
Requirements
- Minimum of three to five years of previous BAS project experience
- Diploma in Electronics preferred
- Industry specific certifications such as Schneider, Distech, Alerton, Tridium, Honeywell
- Solid technical skills and experience related to electronic security systems
- Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems
- Valid driver's license required
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”
- Installs, programs & tests a variety of non routine building automation systems and equipment.
- Reads blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.
- Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions.
- Writes a variety of non routine programs for systems.
- Consults with supervisor to resolve unusual problems in system operation, maintenance, and warranty work.
- Advises supervisor regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques and standards.
- Executes most of the technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets.
- Identifies potential project risks and communicates to appropriate parties.
- Works closely with the Project Manager and/or supervisor.
- Completes accurate and detailed service reports for customer and Convergint.
- Provides technical support to end users when applicable.
- Acts as mentor for other staff members.
What You’ll Need
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
- Solid technical skills and experience related to electronic security systems.
- Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Must be a self starter and work well with general supervision.
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Frequent visits to jobsites are required; minimal overnight travel; valid driver’s license required.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to handle multiple service needs simultaneously.
- Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications.
