A leading Dubai law firm seeks a Barrister or common law-qualified disputes lawyer with 1-2 years PQE to join its disputes practice, focusing on DIFC and ADGM Courts litigation. The role involves drafting pleadings, legal research, and supporting high-value commercial disputes.

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing contentious matters before the DIFC Courts and ADGM Courts
- Draft pleadings, submissions, witness statements, skeleton arguments, and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research on procedural and substantive common law issues
- Support hearings, case management conferences, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Liaise with clients, external counsel, experts, and court registries
- Contribute to dispute strategy, risk analysis, and enforcement planning
- Support cross border enforcement and jurisdiction related matters where relevant
Requirements
- Qualified Barrister (England & Wales preferred) or common law qualified disputes lawyer
- 1–2 years PQE in commercial litigation, arbitration, or dispute resolution
- Prior exposure to court advocacy and contentious drafting is highly desirable
- Experience with DIFC Courts, ADGM Courts, or other common law jurisdictions is advantageous
- Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills
- Commercially minded with excellent client communication abilities
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high performance environment

Job Overview
- A leading Dubai based law firm is seeking a high calibre Barrister or common law qualified disputes lawyer with 1–2 years PQE.
- Opportunity to build a specialist practice in UAE onshore/offshore litigation, focusing on DIFC Courts and ADGM Courts.
- Work closely with senior litigators and partners on high value commercial disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing contentious matters before the DIFC Courts and ADGM Courts.

Candidate Profile

Preferred Background
- Candidates from leading chambers, international law firms, or strong regional disputes teams are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Experience in complex commercial disputes, banking litigation, shareholder disputes, or enforcement proceedings will be viewed favourably.
