Job Summary
Lead and motivate the banquet team while personally supporting high-quality event service.
Manage financial, administrative, asset protection, training, and event-success responsibilities.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Two years of experience in event management, food and beverage, or a related professional area is required.
Banquet Operations
- Project supply needs, manage inventories and equipment, and maintain sanitation levels.
- Apply relevant laws, standards, policies, and procedures to banquet operations.
- Schedule banquet service staff to meet forecasts and service standards while maximizing profits.
- Develop relationships with groups to retain business and increase growth.
Team Leadership
- Set goals, delegate tasks, conduct monthly department meetings, and lead banquet service shifts.
- Act as a liaison between banquet and kitchen staff.
