Job Purpose
Plan, prepare, and produce high-quality baked goods, pastries, and desserts.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and innovate bakery items, seasonal specials, and customized products.
- Oversee daily preparation of breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts to meet operational demand.
- Ensure products meet company standards for taste, texture, and presentation.
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials, manage requisitions, and minimize wastage.
- Train, guide, and supervise junior bakers and kitchen assistants.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with local regulations.
- Work closely with the culinary team and management to align bakery production with overall operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Baking, or Pastry.
- Minimum five years of experience as a Bakery Chef or Pastry Chef.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Creativity in product development and presentation.
- Ability to manage production schedules and meet deadlines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
