Back End Software Engineer

Background: You are a mid engineer with generalist knowledge of product development concepts (software design, product requirements, work breakdown) and agile practices (TDD, CI/CD, architecture) and can apply them to solve well-defined problems independently and with your team. You are comfortable writing code in C#, Java or Python.

Work-with-purpose: You can articulate the value of your own work in larger projects or team-wide goals. You have the space to own and deliver solutions and are comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving requirements.

Have-courage: You are comfortable asking for and giving feedback. You help others when needed, and participate in debates, brainstorms, and other team conversations regularly. You build good relationships with your colleagues in Engineering, Product, and the wider company and are able to respectfully challenge each other to understand the problem and come up with the best solutions. Do-more-with-less: You identify and help implement improvements to processes and standards within the team, seek to optimise our workflow, and share ideas for how to automate manual tasks. As a company we try to minimise meetings (we have meeting-free Wednesdays) and default to asynchronous written communication over long multiple person meetings.
