- Analyze field performance data of avionics systems to identify reliability issues and trends
- Calculate and track Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removal (MTBUR) and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) across multiple product lines
- Develop and maintain reliability models and metrics, including MTBF and failure rates
- Investigate root causes of failures and coordinate corrective actions with design, manufacturing, and service teams
- Support reliability improvement initiatives for legacy and in-service avionics products
- Interface with airline customers, MROs, and OEMs to gather feedback and provide technical support
- Prepare reliability reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external customers
- Participate in failure reviews and corrective action implementation
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies, implementing innovative solutions, and monitoring performance to improve quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience
- 2–5 years of experience in avionics reliability, systems engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of avionics systems and components, including communication, navigation, and surveillance systems
- Knowledge of reliability statistics, life data analysis, and probability distributions
- Experience using Windchill Risk and Reliability analysis tools (formerly ReliaSoft), including Reliability Prediction Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Familiarity with airline operations and maintenance practices
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and data analysis skills with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong capability to present reliability findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience using automation and AI tools to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency
- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to evaluate processes and implement more effective ways of working
- Ability to adopt and promote automation and AI tools to improve team speed, quality, and execution
- Experience supporting commercial avionics products in an aftermarket or in-service environment
- Familiarity with corrective action systems and reliability growth methodologies
- Experience working with airline, OEM, or MRO customers
- Knowledge of aviation regulatory environments and certification considerations
- Exposure to statistical analysis and data visualization tools
- Experience working across global teams and customer organizations
- Understanding of Lean, Continuous Improvement, or operational excellence methodologies
