Role Summary
- The Aviation Supply Lead holds a critical role in managing and overseeing the aviation supply operations in support of OPM SANG, ensuring the seamless procurement, distribution, and maintenance of essential materials specifically related to aviation.
- This position is instrumental in maintaining optimal operational readiness and supporting the mission objectives of the battalion's aviation assets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end to end supply chain processes for aviation related materials, including procurement, storage, and distribution.
- Collaborate with logistics personnel to optimize the supply chain for efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up to date inventory records of supplies, spare parts, and equipment.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure precise inventory management and promptly address discrepancies.
- Coordinate with aviation procurement teams to acquire necessary supplies, spare parts, and materials for aviation assets.
- Ensure compliance with aviation procurement regulations and budgetary constraints.
- Develop and implement distribution strategies specifically tailored for aviation supplies to ensure timely and accurate delivery to aviation units within the battalion.
- Collaborate with aviation logistics and transportation teams to optimize delivery schedules.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure received aviation supplies meet stringent aviation standards.
- Monitor and address any issues related to the quality of aviation supplies.
- Assist in budget planning and monitoring specifically for aviation supply related expenses.
- Identify cost saving opportunities without compromising the operational needs of aviation assets.
