Role Overview
The company is seeking a specialized Automotive Diagnostic and Programming Technician for American vehicles.
The role focuses on accurate diagnosis of complex electrical, electronic, software, and vehicle-network faults before parts replacement.
The work is expected to meet standards comparable to automotive dealership service centers.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical, electronic, and software faults in American vehicles and analyze DTCs, live data, and freeze-frame data.
- Identify root causes and resolve complex cases that other technicians cannot diagnose.
- Program, update, configure, code, initialize, adapt, relearn, and calibrate vehicle control modules.
- Work with ECU, ECM, PCM, TCM, BCM, ABS, SRS, and other modules, including replacement-module setup.
- Diagnose CAN Bus and vehicle-network communication problems and trace circuits using wiring diagrams.
- Use professional diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, battery support, and programming power supplies.
- Perform full-system scans and active or bidirectional tests before and after repairs.
- Document diagnostic and programming work and complete final checks before vehicle delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Strong practical experience diagnosing and programming American vehicles.
- Experience with ECU and module programming, coding, configuration, relearn, initialization, and calibration.
- Strong knowledge of modern American vehicle systems and complex electrical and electronic fault diagnosis.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and understand CAN Bus and vehicle communication networks.
- Ability to analyze vehicle data and identify the underlying cause of a fault.
- Proficiency with professional diagnostic and programming equipment.
- Technical English proficiency for reading diagnostic procedures and diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an American vehicle dealership or specialized service center is strongly preferred.
- Experience with OEM and dealer-level diagnostic and programming tools is preferred.
- Experience with intermittent faults, complex network problems, replacement modules, or multiple American vehicle brands is advantageous.
- ADAS calibration experience and specialized diagnostic or programming certifications are additional advantages.
Compensation
- Monthly pay is listed as SAR 5,000 to SAR 15,000.
- The basic salary is determined according to experience and competence.
- Incentives and additional bonuses are linked to productivity, diagnostic accuracy, work quality, complex-case resolution, and reduced vehicle comebacks.
