Join our Team as an Automation Software Engineering Co-op !
The Role
We’re seeking a motivated Automation Software Engineering Co-op to join our team this spring, summer, and/or fall! This co-op offers hands-on experience in software engineering, where you’ll work on meaningful projects and gain insight into advanced driver assistance systems feature development. You’ll collaborate with the Automation team, as well as mentors and leadership, building skills that will help launch your career!
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop algorithms to process sensor data for system integration for various project components
Analyze sensor data and process results to help guide design and implementation decisions
Use simulation tools for proof-of-concept work before implementing in real world scenarios
Create and update technical documentation, test plans, test results, and project reports
Work on a team to complete project milestones with high quality while keeping schedule and cost in mind
Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, test engineers, and software engineers for project development in multiple teams and departments
Get hands on experience in our test lab seeing software changes on real hardware
What We’re Looking For
Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or equivalent degree program in related field of study
Excellent C++ and Python programming skills
Experience with Linux based development environments
Experience with hardware interfaces for automation sensors
Co-op Term: Candidates may choose from the following co-op term options: Spring & Summer 2027, Summer 2027, or Summer & Fall 2027.

Knowledge of ROS2 (Robot Operating System) tools and development environment
Experience processing data from LiDAR or stereo cameras preferred
Software development experience on embedded systems with constrained resources

This is an in-person role located at our Greene, NY office—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment
What You’ll Get in Return
Wage - $20.00 - $30.00+ per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
