Automation Engineer

This position is with a leading Metals Manufacturing Company, employing industrial automation and methodology to improve effectiveness of manufacturing production and processes.

As part of an Automation Team, you will be involved with design, development, programming, and installation of Automated Systems.

These systems include robotics, PLC controls, material handling, inspection and system monitoring.

• Technical/Engineering degree or proven industrial experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience or any combination of education, training, and related work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Previous experience in an Automation/Controls/Maintenance position in a Manufacturing environment is most desirable.

Seeking the following skills:

• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming experience and HMI interface programming, preferably with Allen Bradley-Rockwell hardware and software
• Familiarity with programming and installation of Robotic and related vision systems.
• Ability to design, develop and wire electrical panels and equipment necessary to control automated systems.

Strong consideration to those with the following skills:

• Familiarity with, but not limited to FANUC robotics and RoboGuide Software.
• Knowledge of basic hydraulic and pneumatic concepts
• Ability to create, troubleshoot and edit CNC machine Ladder Logic Programs
• Ability to interface PLC systems with CNC machines using various interface protocols.
• Ability to read and develop electrical prints, mechanical prints and operational procedures.
