Position and project
Freelance Automation Engineer position for a two-month full-time project.
Design and implement a complete automation control system for an HFFS packaging line with conveyors and labeling equipment.
The project includes electrical design, PLC programming, machine integration, commissioning, and PLC-to-server communication.
Electrical and sensor design
- Design the electrical control panel, including motor starters, VFDs, safety relays, and circuit protection.
- Specify and integrate proximity, pressure, temperature, speed, and photo-eye sensors.
- Plan the PLC I/O layout and signal conditioning.
PLC programming and integration
- Write the core PLC program for HFFS, conveyor, and labeling sequencing.
- Implement speed synchronization and safety interlocks.
- Program PLC-to-PLC communication using EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profibus, or equivalent protocols.
- Develop error detection and recovery logic.
