Job Summary
Seeking a motivated, detail-oriented entry-level AutoCAD Draftsman for a design and engineering team.
The role assists senior engineers and designers with accurate technical drawings and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D drawings and technical layouts using AutoCAD.
- Modify existing drawings and prepare detailed drawings from specifications and measurements.
- Produce shop drawings, working drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details as required.
- Maintain drawing files, project documentation, naming conventions, version control, and CAD storage.
- Perform quality checks and revise drawings based on engineering or supervisory feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture, drafting, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and technical drawings, dimensions, scales, and drafting principles.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to read technical drawings.
- Good attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills
- Basic AutoCAD 3D knowledge is an advantage.
- Familiarity with engineering or architectural drawings and drafting standards is preferred.
- Experience with other CAD software is a plus.
- Basic understanding of measurements and calculations is preferred.
