Audio Engineer - Pt Pool
We are now accepting applications for a qualified Audio Engineer - PT Pool at Belmont University.

Assists the Apprentice Audio Engineer Level II staff to provide logistical and technical support for daily operations, recording sessions, classes, labs, and events.
- Assist in daily operations by performing customer-service duties such as reception, answering phones, running errands, minor food preparation, kitchen re-stocking, and general housekeeping tasks.
- Maintain session documentation as appropriate.
- Perform technical maintenance in university-owned recording facilities.
- Engineer, assist, and monitor recording sessions.
- Assist in training fellow Apprentice Engineers, student staff engineers, and student engineers as needed.

- Knowledge of professional studio and recording industry practices and operational procedures.
- Knowledge of acoustic and electronic audio principles including signal flow (standard electronic interfaces), professional microphones (types, common uses and techniques), audio recorder setup and calibration, and outboard signal processors (spectrum, dynamic, and time-based).
- Must have understanding of the functions of standard audio/video recording components and systems.
- Ability to work cooperatively with a wide variety of staff, faculty, students, and clientele. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Ability to setup, calibrate, and operate industry standard analog and digital audio equipment.
- Must be articulate and effective with both oral and written communication.
- Ability to use standard computer software to generate session documentation and related reports.
- Ability to interpret electronic diagrams and signal flow charts and to troubleshoot electronic and acoustic problems quickly and accurately.
- Ability to perform basic audio equipment maintenance tasks including cleaning, soldering, assembling component parts, etc. with regard to electronic recording equipment.
The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
