- Assist nursing staff in preparing/cleaning patient room for admission/discharge

Overview
- Assist in the delivery of patient care as directed by the registered nurse.
- Contribute to the general environment of the hospital and well being of the patient as a member of the nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in patient care and other ward related duties as directed by and under supervision of the staff nurse.
- Respond quickly to patient’s request for assistance.
- Assist with patient’s elimination, mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking needs while observing and reporting any specific changes to the staff nurse.
- Assist the nursing staff in bed making, sponge bathing and other hygienic activity of the patient.
- Responsible for segregation of soiled linen as per infection control guidelines under the supervision of nursing personnel.
- Assist in the maintenance of cleanliness in all areas including patient’s room within the unit.
- Assist in the maintenance of supply and storage areas.
- Act as a messenger when required.
- Escort patients to and from Radiology Department as directed by nurse on duty.
- To be responsible to act as a part of infection prevention and control programs.
- Assist nursing staff in preparing/cleaning patient’s room for admission/discharge.
- Participates in any scheduled educational activities.
