Role Description
The Assortment Planning Assistant supports product assortment planning, analysis, and maintenance across relevant categories and channels.
The role works with merchandising, buying, inventory, sales, and operations teams to support assortment decisions and product availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain product assortment plans.
- Analyze sales, inventory, product trends, and category data.
- Maintain product, category, pricing, and assortment information in relevant systems.
- Support product selection, range reviews, seasonal planning, launches, and discontinuations.
- Monitor availability and identify assortment gaps, excess stock, and potential shortages.
- Prepare assortment reports, sales analyses, inventory summaries, and planning presentations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement assortment plans accurately.
- Support promotional planning, process improvements, and follow-up on outstanding actions.
Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, merchandising, marketing, supply chain management, or a related discipline is required.
- Good understanding of retail, merchandising, product assortment, sales, and inventory concepts is required.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
