Position Overview
Human Rights Watch is seeking a full-time Associate for its Development and Outreach Department in Sydney.
The Sydney office supports development, fundraising, and outreach efforts across Australia, including donor cultivation and fundraising events.
The Associate reports to the Director of Development and Outreach based in Sydney.
Workplace and Schedule
- This is a hybrid role based in commuting distance of the Sydney office.
- The position requires work from the Sydney office at least two days per week.
- The schedule is 38 hours per week and includes occasional evenings for global meetings and special events.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for Australian development activities and fundraising initiatives.
- Coordinate fundraising dinners, receptions, donor meetings, briefings, volunteers, communications, materials, and on-site event support.
- Track donor gifts, invoicing, receipting, acknowledgements, recognition, and Australia income reconciliation.
- Maintain Salesforce records, spreadsheets, financial reports, donor analytics, data entry, and confidential data.
- Coordinate donor correspondence, meetings, solicitation materials, contact lists, and communication tracking.
