Role overview
Provide dedicated application support for the Nielsen Brandbank IT Service and its internal applications.
This is primarily a junior role with team administration and reporting responsibilities and a path toward more technical support work.
Job responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Application Support team.
- Support customer-facing applications, services, selected desktop applications, and teleworkers within the support region.
- Use Jira to complete escalated requests within the allotted SLA.
- Contribute to application support documentation.
- Respond to out-of-hours application support requests when required, with time off in lieu offered.
- Manage application configuration and resolve complex application problems with users and external suppliers when necessary.
- Perform system configuration, scripting, and new user administration as required.
Essential qualifications
- Willingness to learn new skills and an underlying interest in information technology.
- An analytical and methodical approach to information gathering and fault diagnosis.
- Good face-to-face customer service experience.
- A polite, cheerful, and positive attitude toward work.
