Associate/Principal Structural Engineer, Water

In this role, you’ll lead or support the structural engineering scope across multidisciplinary water projects of varying size and complexity. You’ll bring your technical expertise to the planning, design, and delivery of innovative, practical, and durable structural solutions.

You will:

Lead and deliver structural design for water-retaining structures, pump stations, sewer networks, pipelines, and associated assets

Provide technical input into proposals and support business development activities

Drive integration of Digital Engineering and BIM-based coordination

Undertake condition assessments, design reviews, and verifications

Apply Safety-in-Design principles and ensure compliance with OHS&E and quality standards

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building team capability

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

10+ years of structural engineering experience, including 5+ years in the water sector

RPV / RPEQ registration; Chartered status

Strong background in reinforced concrete, structural steel and water‐retaining structures aligned to Australian Standards

Confident managing projects from concept through detailed design

Excellent communicator with strong client engagement and technical reporting skills

Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and quality
