Associate Manager - Accounting & Controls

Key Responsibilities

Processes • Responsible for monthly close process, accountings controls and accounting operations processes ensuring compliance of regulations, policies and requirements of the “in scope” countries/entities. • Manage the process for review and recording of journal entries required to reflect the monthly activity and continuous improvement in productivity to the standards prescribed from time to time. • Continually reviewing all assigned processes in order to identify opportunities for quality & process design improvement • Lead the initiative for reduction in manual journals across the bank by doing a deep dive into the various thematic issues and driving the improvement through various measures. • Review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained • Manage and update on Period Close Accounting and Control activities across SCB. • Ensuring that continuous efficiency improvement in FARO activities and an established process exists to constantly identify and implement improvement opportunities. • Ensuring All ABDO are mapped into the correct preparer and approver. Unmapped ABDO to be escalated in the correct forums like FORTM and country finance escalation process
