- Proofreads at each stage of print production.
- Checks for grammar, punctuation, usage, capitalization, style, layout, format, inconsistencies, redundancies and verifies facts as needed.
- Write print articles as needed, including feature stories and columns.
- Check proofs against roadmaps provided by the production department.
- Monitor compliance with the editorial production schedule.
- Serves as photographer and videographer as needed while in the field and on assignment.
- Assist with developing a content strategy that aligns with the business goals and objectives of the brand and company.
- Collaborate with the brand and business teams to plan and develop website content.
- Maintain a digital editorial calendar.
- Participate in developing engaging web content, including proofreading, SEO fine-tuning, and publishing.
- Write digital articles as needed or warranted.
- Records and edit videos for social media including reels, shorts, full videos.
- Publish digital content to CMS following each brand’s schedule.
- Work with other digital editors and content providers to ensure brand consistency and voice.
- Create balanced, newsworthy (legal, politics, and conservation, etc.) digital content hunting in a fast-paced setting.
- Keep up to date with SEO best practices.
- Use reporting tools to analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics.
- Assist brand managers with social media including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Assist marketing teams with content distribution to social media and email newsletter platforms to increase web traffic.
- Assist in ensuring legal compliance of content (e.g., copyright and data protection).
- Attend company events, trade shows, and media events as needed (approx. three weeks per year).

• Typical Office Conditions
- Minimum BS/BA degree in Journalism, English or Creative Writing.
- BS/BA degree in Journalism, English or Creative Writing.
- Preferred Three (3) years of professional experience in magazine editorial procedures.
