Lead and grow a specialist Fire and Life Safety team.
Deliver complex fire and life safety strategies across major infrastructure and building projects.
Ensure compliance with local and international standards.
Core responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary Fire and Life Safety teams and design efforts.
- Conduct construction-stage onsite inspections and coordinate authority presentations.
- Review material submittals, shop drawings, and multidisciplinary designs.
- Interpret CFD modeling results and develop performance-based fire strategy reports.
- Review BIM designs using Autodesk Construction Cloud and Revit.
- Mentor junior staff and manage multiple projects under QMS procedures.
Technical leadership
- Provide commercial and technical leadership for Fire and Life Safety projects.
- Own client relationships and support work winning through technical excellence.
- Lead technical workgroups and the development of fire and life safety drawings.
- Review architectural, fire protection, mechanical, and electrical drawings for code compliance.
- Deliver technically accurate reports aligned with client and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of fire and life safety experience, including at least 5 years in leadership.
- Experience delivering large-scale buildings or infrastructure projects in the GCC.
- Professional certification such as CFPS, CEng, or PE is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Codes and standards
- Knowledge of the International Building Code and International Fire Code.
- Knowledge of Saudi Building Codes and UAE Fire Code.
- Knowledge of NFPA, BS, and EN standards.
- Ability to apply IFEG and SFPE guidance to performance-based design.
