Assistant Structural BIM Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural models and drawings, including quantities and schedules.
• Understand client requirements and standards for models, details, and drawings.
• Follow quality control processes and deliver work to the required quality and timelines.
• Standardize workflows based on project requirements and manage electronic information.
• Coordinate with BIM coordinators and project managers.
• Promote standardization of components and processes.
• Guide, troubleshoot, and train team members across varied BIM development levels.
• Assist with modelling and extraction of deliverables.

Candidate Specification

• ITI qualification in the relevant engineering discipline is required.
• A diploma or degree in the relevant engineering discipline is an added advantage.
• Five to ten years of experience in modelling and detailing is required.
• Experience in energy or power projects is advantageous.
• Candidates from other sectors may be considered with expertise in RCC and structural steel modelling and detailing.
• Substantial involvement in hydropower project delivery is required.
• Good communication, leadership, teamwork, and multidisciplinary coordination skills are required.
• Candidates should be technology focused, professional, self-motivated, and aware of industry developments.
