Assistant Resident Engineer (M&E)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer with M&E infrastructure and building-services projects.
• Oversee pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and related systems for specification and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise contractors and monitor safety, quality, and contract adherence.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress toward timely M&E completion.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and technical queries for mechanical and electrical works.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, government authorities, and project stakeholders.
• Review material approvals, method statements, shop drawings, and project documentation.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Attend progress meetings and provide technical updates.
• Ensure on-site HSE compliance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure and building services, preferably in the UAE.
• Previous experience working with TAQA WS.
• Strong expertise in pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and M&E systems.
• Experience in construction supervision, quality control, and contract administration.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
