Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the construction of underground cable projects, including trenching, duct banks, cable laying, joint bays, and associated civil works
- Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards
- Monitor contractor performance, progress, and compliance with quality and HSE requirements
- Review and approve contractor submissions such as method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals
- Conduct regular site inspections and enforce QA/QC procedures throughout project execution
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and utility teams to ensure seamless integration of cable systems
- Act as the primary liaison between client, contractor, and supervision team on site
- Identify and resolve technical issues, construction challenges, and contractual matters
- Manage project schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions where required
- Maintain detailed site documentation, reports, and records of project activities
- Lead site meetings, progress reviews, and communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans
- Oversee testing, commissioning support, and final handover of cable infrastructure works
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure or utility projects
- Strong experience in underground cable works
- Proven experience in managing and supervising high voltage cable or utility infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, QA/QC practices, and HSE regulations
- Familiarity with international standards and GCC/UAE regulations
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools; knowledge of Primavera or MS Project is an advantage

About You
