Job Description
- The Institute of Public Health at UAE University seeks a full time faculty member to contribute to academic, research, and community engagement initiatives.
- The role focuses on public health, epidemiology, disease prevention, infectious disease control, injury prevention, surveillance, immunizations, emergency preparedness, health promotion, and occupational/environmental health.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in teaching, research, policy development, community engagement, and consultancy.
Minimum Qualification
- Applicant must hold a medical degree and specialty certification in Public Health (Arab Board, ACOEM, FPH, or equivalent).
- Applicants should have public health practice, academic and research experience.
Preferred Qualification
- MBBS (MD) – PhD in Public Health or Epidemiology or equivalent field.
Expected Skills
- Track record of at least three years in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, including curriculum design and student supervision.
- Accomplished in conducting and supervising research projects, securing funding, and publishing in peer reviewed journals.
- Ability to serve as principal investigator in research projects relevant to UAE community health.
- Skills in developing strong links with educational establishments, health authorities, government agencies, and other institutions.
- Experience in international collaboration is preferred.
