Assistant Production Manager

Reporting to the Production Manager, your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Maintaining and promoting a safe workplace in accordance with Visy’s policies and procedures.

Entrenching basic and enhanced papermaking skills at operator and senior level

Monitoring process capabilities to maintain and improve product quality

Monitoring paper machine equipment performance and reliability

Coordinating first and second line control optimisation tuning with DCS/QCS specialists

Identifying opportunities to engineer better quality properties

Reporting O.E.E performance against targets with a strong focus on time efficiency improvements

Assisting with Customer complaints and corrective action

Drive operational excellence, develop team capability and help deliver business outcomes.

Experience within paper manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership and people development skills.

A sound understanding of production, quality and safety systems.

The ability to analyse performance data and identify operational improvements.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Flexibility to participate in on-call support and operational requirements.
