What’s the job?
As th e Assistant Night Manager, at the Holiday Inn Potts Point you will manage and oversee all hotel operations in the absence of the Night Manager or designate during nights in this busy, well positioned hotel. During the night hours, your principal responsibility is the safety and security of guests and colleagues and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the night audit function from 11.00pm to 7.00am.
You’ll not only be the person guests rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience. You’ll also be in tune with your team, driving performance and engagement to maximise performance and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Your day to day
Oversee all hotel operations during the overnight hours.
Train and supervise colleagues in quality and service standards, ensuring they have the necessary tools and equipment to perform and are empowered to execute in their role
Ensure guests receive prompt, professional service, personal recognition and a seamless experience throughout their stay.
Support and ensure guests receive prompt service, professional attention and personal recognition.
Be the first responder - know how to respond to emergency situations promptly and calmly.
Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure manner. Maintain cashiers float, ensuring accurate daily report of all money received, performs the audit balances and prepares all works for audit in an orderly fashion
Oversee night audit function and preparation of daily financial reports. Work closely with our finance team to ensure the auditing and reporting process has a high level of detail overnight
Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.

What we need from you
Valid work visa to work unrestricted and on a permanent basis in Australia. Sponsorship is not available.
At least 3 years of hotel front office / guest service experience with least two years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity.
Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Administration, Business Administration or an associated discipline.
Experience with Opera or a similar front office system.
Strong numeracy skills and excellent communication skills and ability to deal with people with confidence.
Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol in NSW
First Aid & CPR Certificates are required
