About the Position

Public Area Operations

• Ensure daily and night cleaning and maintenance of public areas are completed efficiently and according to resort standards.
• Implement and monitor cleaning and maintenance programs throughout public, hotel, and gaming areas.
• Inspect gaming areas, restrooms, shopping arcade, banquet rooms, lobbies, guest hallways, pool areas, porte cochere, exteriors, and offices.
• Lead periodic deep cleaning, painting, chandelier cleaning, carpet shampooing, and marble restoration projects.

Maintenance and Administration

• Coordinate maintenance requests and complaints with the Manager and Property Operations Department.
• Monitor cleaning-chemical and tool inventory and arrange equipment repairs and maintenance checks.
• Coordinate schedules with Supervisors and Coordinators and assist with Public Area administration and paperwork.
• Prepare and report operating expenses, payroll budgets, and capital-improvement updates for management approval.

Guest Service and Compliance

• Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, investigate issues, and ensure corrective action and follow-through.
• Monitor health and safety, cleaning and maintenance, service standards, staff grooming, chemical use, and equipment handling.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to satisfy guest requests and continuously improve health and safety standards.
• Follow company policies, the Code of Conduct, health and safety standards, and recycling requirements.

People Leadership

• Manage rosters, vacations, breaks, attendance, overtime and undertime records, staffing levels, and departmental training plans.
• Supervise, hire, train, coach, motivate, counsel, and evaluate Public Area staff.
• Conduct briefings, disseminate information, arrange refresher training, and promote effective multicultural communication.
• Assume Public Area Manager responsibilities when assigned or when the Manager is absent.

Experience and Qualifications

• Speak and understand English.
• Previous experience is advantageous.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Be computer literate, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Have at least 4 years of supervisory experience in a large five-star hotel or integrated resort.
• Have at least 6 years of Public Area Department experience in a large five-star hotel or integrated resort.
