- Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters is located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking an Assistant Hardware Engineering Manager to join our High Speed OverPass Solutions team in Valley Green, PA.
Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Engineering Manager in leading and guiding a team of mechanical engineers in the design, development, and testing of package-level connector hardware components and custom cable assemblies.
- Assist in managing project timelines to ensure milestones and deliverables are met, while communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate regularly with customers on key programs during the development and implementation of new hardware and connectors.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—including signal integrity engineering, product management, and manufacturing—to support cohesive product development efforts.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of engineering processes and best practices to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Help coordinate resource allocation and assist with project planning and budgeting activities.
- Provide technical support, mentorship, and day-to-day guidance to engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Support team growth initiatives, including participation in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new hires.
- Assist in conducting performance feedback and development discussions with team members.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and engineering tools to help drive innovation within the team.
