About the Role
The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager to ensure smooth, efficient store operations. This position is responsible for driving sales, delivering outstanding customer service, and supporting daily activities that align with business goals. The Assistant Manager leads by example, motivates the team, fosters a positive work environment, and helps uphold company standards in service, safety, and presentation. This role also serves as a liaison between employees, customers, and company leadership, promoting Space Age Fuel’s values and image within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in executing operational strategies to meet company objectives.
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets.
- Support training and development of store employees, including onboarding and ongoing coaching.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and expectations through example and daily guidance.
- Promote teamwork and high morale through clear communication and supportive leadership.
- Maintain accurate cash handling, including tills, change orders, and daily reconciliation.
- Accept and verify deliveries, manage stock levels, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Perform administrative tasks including morning paperwork and basic Excel reporting.
