Role Overview

  • The Assistant Learning & Development Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing learning and development programs that support employee growth and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify training and development needs by collaborating with Department Heads and support the implementation of the property's annual training plan
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the annual Learning & Development (L&D) calendar, training budget, and related reports
  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding, orientation, and mandatory brand training programs for all new associates
  • Plan, organize, and monitor on the job training to ensure compliance with brand standards and operational objectives
  • Deliver property wide training programs, including leadership, supervisory, and professional development courses
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure associates complete required training hours in line with brand standards
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the effectiveness of training programs and learning initiatives
  • Develop and support departmental trainers while promoting a culture of continuous learning and development
  • Coordinate management trainee programs and provide guidance to ensure successful completion of development plans
  • Build partnerships with government agencies, educational institutions, and external training providers, while performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Human Resources, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Previous experience in a Marriott property or strong knowledge of Marriott Learning & Development and brand standards is highly preferred
