Job Summary

The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing front desk and guest services operations.

The role helps manage staff, maintain smooth check-in and check-out processes, resolve guest concerns, coordinate room assignments, and ensure accurate billing and payments.

The position contributes to service quality, guest satisfaction, policy implementation, and revenue optimization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate front desk staff across all shifts.
  • Oversee guest registration, room assignments, check-in, check-out, and payment transactions.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests and resolve issues professionally.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate front office staff.
  • Monitor room availability and occupancy to optimize revenue and room utilization.
  • Implement front office policies, procedures, and hotel service standards.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, reservations, and other departments to meet guest needs.
  • Inspect front desk operations, guest interactions, cleanliness, and appearance.
  • Assist with budgets, expenses, inventory, cost-saving opportunities, and resource utilization.
  • Liaise between guests and hotel management while representing the hotel’s brand and values.

Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency in hotel management software and front desk operations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with guests, colleagues, and other departments.
  • Attention to detail and organizational ability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills for guest concerns, emergencies, and service decisions.
  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required for success in the role.

Experience and Education

  • At least 8 years of total working experience and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Two years of GCC experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
