Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

Job Summary

Education and Experience

• One qualification pathway is required: a high school diploma or GED plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a 2-year degree in a related hospitality or business major plus 1 year of relevant experience is accepted.

Food and Beverage Operations

• Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement, and service.
• Provide excellent customer service to employees.
• Respond quickly and proactively to employee concerns.
• Use coaching skills throughout the property.
• Demonstrate self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.
• Motivate staff to resolve guest and employee concerns.

Exceptional Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service to guests.
• Respond quickly and proactively to guest concerns.
• Understand and reinforce the brand’s service culture.
• Set service expectations for internal and external guests.
• Own guest complaints or problems until they are resolved or appropriately addressed.
• Follow up to ensure complaints have been addressed to the guest’s satisfaction.
• Develop guest relationships that build repeat clientele.

Additional Responsibilities

• Comply with corporate accounting procedures.
• Assist the General Manager with the annual quality audit as needed.
