Assistant Farm Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support the Farm Manager in overseeing farming operations.
• Supervise daily work performance and provide guidance to employees.
• Ensure manpower is trained, developed and motivated.
• Align operational initiatives with farming strategies and cost-efficiency objectives.
• Ensure machinery, tractors, trailers and other tools are operational.
• Maintain health and safety standards across farm activities.
• Ensure quality standards, policies and standard operating procedures are followed.
• Monitor cultivation, irrigation and harvesting for crop quality.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, service providers and government agencies.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
• Certification in Agriculture or Horticulture Business Management.
• At least 7 years of experience managing agriculture or horticulture-based farming operations in a medium-sized organization.
• At least 3 years of experience in the food industry.

Other qualifications

• Proficiency with computer operations.
• Valid driving license.
• Ability to manage a multinational workforce.
• Knowledge of international food quality and safety standards.
• Knowledge of budgeting and operations management.
• Excellent communication, planning and organizing skills, and business acumen.

Work location

• The position is based in Al Kharj and involves daily farming-site operations.
