Position Summary
Coordinate banquet and event operations while supporting guest service, staff teamwork, and company standards.
Assist management with employee supervision, development, scheduling, and performance activities.
Event and Banquet Operations
- Respond to special banquet event arrangements and communicate with guests, employees, and departments.
- Set up banquet areas and rooms, including furniture and equipment, while ensuring cleanliness and proper arrangement.
- Inspect table setups for cleanliness, neatness, group requirements, and company standards.
- Document pertinent information in the department logbook and resolve setup problems.
Team and Guest Service
- Ensure staff work together as a team and correct grooming or attire deficiencies.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Maintain positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
