Assistant Engineer - Architectural Lighting

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Experience with lighting through internships, placements, or academic exposure in a relevant consultancy environment.
• Bachelor's degree, equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience in Architecture, Lighting Design, Interior Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Understanding of lighting design principles and interest in varied project types and delivery methods.
• Experience supporting team members and willingness to learn from senior designers.
• Collaborative approach, attention to detail, and willingness to support multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD, with willingness to develop further.
• Commitment to continuous learning through CPD and knowledge sharing.

Technical Skills

• Experience with lighting modelling and calculation software, preferably DIALux evo.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to produce lighting calculations, design sketches, drawings, specifications, and visual and written narratives.
