Role Overview

The Assistant Director of Sales supports the Director of Sales in driving commercial strategy and revenue performance.

The role focuses on government, royal affairs, diplomatic, and strategic institutional accounts across Saudi Arabia.

The position develops relationships with government entities, royal offices, ministries, authorities, embassies, and strategic decision-makers.

Sales and Account Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage key government, royal, diplomatic, and strategic institutional accounts.
  • Identify and convert high-value business opportunities into recurring revenue.
  • Build pipelines, account plans, production tracking, forecasts, and revenue-development actions.
  • Identify opportunities for VIP stays, delegations, official visits, meetings, conferences, events, and hotel buyouts.
  • Negotiate government rates, preferred agreements, corporate agreements, accommodation contracts, event agreements, and partnerships.

Market and Client Engagement

  • Monitor government procurement processes, tender opportunities, supplier requirements, government calendars, and major events.
  • Conduct sales calls, executive meetings, presentations, client visits, site inspections, familiarization visits, and client entertainment.
  • Host high-profile government, royal, diplomatic, and VIP clients and communicate their requirements to relevant departments.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Front Office, Guest Relations, Events, Security, and Reservations for seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate account information, contacts, activities, opportunities, pipelines, production, contracts, and account plans.

Team and Service Standards

  • Monitor account performance against targets and implement corrective action when required.
  • Support the Director of Sales in leading, coaching, and developing the Sales team.
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion, professionalism, integrity, and strong relationship management with high-profile clients.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of progressive sales experience within luxury hospitality with significant Saudi market exposure.
  • Experience managing government, royal affairs, diplomatic, or strategic institutional accounts in Saudi Arabia.
  • Established relationships with relevant Saudi government entities, ministries, authorities, royal offices, embassies, and strategic organizations.
  • Strong understanding of the Saudi hospitality, government, corporate, and MICE landscape.
  • Proven record of generating high-value business and achieving sales and revenue targets.
  • Experience with CRM systems, account management, reporting, forecasting, and commercial planning.
  • Strong luxury hospitality standards knowledge and understanding of VIP and high-profile guest expectations.
