Responsibilities
- Support senior technicians with installation, inspection, servicing, and repair of air conditioning systems
- Assist with troubleshooting system issues and monitoring equipment performance
- Clean and replace filters and components
- Perform basic electrical and plumbing related tasks associated with HVAC work
- Help with preventive maintenance schedules and document work performed
- Ensure tools, materials, and work areas are kept organized and safe
- Follow company safety standards and adhere to technical guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to complete assigned jobs efficiently and on time
Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing AC performance issues
- Basic knowledge of plumbing related to HVAC systems
- Experience or training in preventive maintenance for AC units
- Foundational understanding of electricity as it relates to HVAC systems
- Awareness of environmental and safety practices; EPA related knowledge or certification is an advantage
- High school diploma or vocational/technical certificate in HVAC, refrigeration, or related field preferred
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, work orders, and safety procedures
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in varied environments
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
- Previous experience as an HVAC helper
