About the Role
Citi is seeking a Senior Group Manager for Risk & Control Design in UAE Wealth Management. This leadership role is responsible for designing and implementing robust risk and control frameworks across all wealth products and channels, ensuring regulatory compliance and ethical sales practices.

- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the end to end risk and control framework for UAE Wealth business
- Develop and embed robust controls specific to investment, deposit, lending, and insurance products
- Design and implement effective controls for branch operations and digital platforms
- Drive regulatory change management and oversee audit and examination readiness
- Manage multiple teams and provide guidance to Risk and Control Leads
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in risk management, control design, compliance, audit, or related field within financial services, with significant focus on wealth management
- Extensive knowledge of UAE regulatory landscape for financial institutions, particularly wealth management
- Deep understanding of controls for branch operations, investment/insurance products, deposit/lending products, and digital banking channels
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills

Overview
- The Senior Group Manager, Risk & Control Design for UAE Wealth Management is a critical leadership role.
- Responsible for holistic design, implementation, and oversight of risk and control frameworks across CPB and CG wealth businesses in the UAE.
- Covers all products (investment, deposit, lending, insurance) and channels (branch, digital).
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Control Framework & Design: Lead design and enhancement of risk and control framework.
- Product Specific Controls: Develop controls for investment, deposit, lending, and insurance products.
- Channel Specific Controls: Design controls for branch operations and digital platforms.
- Regulatory Compliance & Oversight: Manage regulatory change, exams, audits, and control testing.
- Sales Practices & Ethical Conduct: Design and monitor controls for ethical sales practices.
- Risk Assessment & Management: Lead risk assessments, issue management, and MCA program.
- Escalations, Reporting and Governance: Ensure timely escalation and regulatory reporting.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Influence cross functional teams and manage resources.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in risk management, control design, compliance, audit, or related field.
- Extensive knowledge of UAE regulatory landscape for wealth management.
- Deep understanding of controls for branch operations, investment/insurance products, deposit/lending products, and digital banking channels.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master's degree or professional certifications (FRM, CPA, CIA, CAMS) highly desirable.
