Assembly Technicians are in a hands-on work environment performing a variety of tasks to support the engineering, manufacturing and production teams. Daily responsibilities may include test set up, production assembly, engineering assembly, receiving support, packaging and shipping. The Assembly Technician III reports to the Technician Lead.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Performs mechanical assembly according to verbal and written instructions including fastening, bonding, and riveting
Supports engineering testing, manufacturing efforts
Uses chemicals, adhesives, and solvents as required
Reads and understands blueprints, schematics and technical diagrams
Works with the ERP (Epicor) system to track hardware, and ensure jobs are completed on time, helps manage the production schedule
Assists in test setup and execution, updating procedures, assisting with test plans, and data collection
Assists with packaging and shipping of hardware and equipment
Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions
Demonstrates leadership and provides guidance to more junior Assembly Technicians
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Education: High School diploma
Must be able to obtain and maintain an ATF Handler’s Permit, which requires passing a federal criminal background check and authorizes the handling of regulated firearms and explosives.
Required Experience: Strong proficiency with basic hand and power tools, strong mechanical aptitude, experience with test data acquisition and instrumentation
Preferred Experience: Knowledge of military and commercial industry specifications
Typically possesses: 4-7 years’ experience in aerospace, defense experience, or manufacturing environments
Possesses computer proficiency and familiarity with common office applications
Demonstrates passion for the aerospace and defense industry, and strong desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Demonstrates an exceptional work ethic and attitude
Physical requirements of this position include moderate physical and repetitious work, standing for extended periods of time, the use of stairs and occasional heavy lifting
Have a valid driver’s license
Must be a U.S. Citizen
