About the Department
The Student Artist is responsible for creating custom, hand-painted artwork to be presented as commemorative gifts for outgoing board members. This role honors leadership and service through meaningful, personalized artwork that reflects the individual's impact and legacy. Position Duties
- Meet with project coordinator to understand vision, theme, and timeline Research or gather reference photos and background information on board members Develop concept sketches for approval prior to final painting Create original, high-quality painted artwork (canvas, framed piece, or selected medium) Incorporate meaningful elements (symbols, campus imagery, milestones, quotes, etc.) Ensure artwork is completed on schedule for presentation events Prepare artwork for framing, packaging, and formal gift presentation
