Position Overview
This foundational individual-contributor role owns the AI/ML capability for recommendations, search relevance, and content intelligence across six content and commerce verticals.
The engineer will set the technical direction for machine learning-powered personalization and content discovery as the media super-app scales.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design and build recommendation systems for video, audio, radio, micro-drama, and news discovery.
- Improve search relevance and ranking models across a growing catalog.
- Build tagging, classification, and metadata enrichment capabilities for content intelligence.
- Own data pipelines, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Partner with the Backend Architect to integrate ML systems into platform infrastructure.
- Translate product goals into measurable ML-driven outcomes with the Product Lead.
- Own the AI/ML technical roadmap and introduce new models and techniques as usage and scale grow.
Must Have Criteria
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production.
- Deep expertise in recommendation systems, search relevance, or learning-to-rank models with production deployments.
