Role Overview

  • The Armaments, Avionics & Survival Equipment Workshop Controller is responsible for ensuring all off aircraft maintenance work is performed to approved data and quality standards.
  • Reports to the Deputy Depth Maintenance Manager for organisation, administration, control and efficiency of Part 145 Bay Operations.
  • Requires high level understanding of Armament & AGE trades and ability to think and plan tactically.
  • High level of interaction with QAF support staff.

Core Activity

  • Leading and managing production and delivery of associated work packages.
  • Provide planning and oversight to additional and emergent work during maintenance.
  • Ensure statement of work is updated and re authorised to reflect changes.
  • Ensure all off aircraft maintenance work is performed to approved data and quality standards.
  • Provide Information, Statistics and Data for Operational Performance Review.
  • Undertake direct management responsibility and Performance and Development.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are appropriately documented and airworthiness records are maintained.
  • Compile required reporting, identify issues and escalate as appropriate.
  • Review and report on effectiveness of maintenance task performance in AGE.
  • Maintain effective relationships with Fleet Planning, Demand Management, etc.
  • Maintain control and oversight of QAF consolidation including logbook progression.
  • Provide input to Continuous Improvement activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure effective management of Regulatory activities by setting delivery targets and monitoring progress.
  • Prioritise activities within/across teams to maximise efficiency.
  • Assess escalated issues for impact on Continuing Airworthiness and generate resolution.
  • Comply with Regulatory Framework and Company procedures.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are compliant with Governance and Assurance framework.
  • Support response to audit findings and implement improvements.
  • Manage CAA system within Airworthiness Records.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory Framework.
  • Comply with all applicable contractual requirements.
