About the Role
BAE Systems seeks an Armaments, Avionics & Survival Equipment Workshop Controller to lead off-aircraft maintenance at Dukhan, Qatar. The role requires managing Part 145 bay operations, planning maintenance events, and ensuring quality standards.

- Lead and manage the production and delivery of work packages, including technical instructions, resource and materiel requirements
- Provide planning and oversight for additional and emergent work during maintenance
- Ensure all off aircraft maintenance work is performed to approved data and quality standards
- Report to the Deputy Depth Maintenance Manager for organization, administration, control and efficiency of Part 145 Bay Operations
- Interact with customer and Qatari Air Force support staff
- Provide information, statistics and data for Operational Performance Review
- Undertake direct management responsibility and performance development
- Ensure maintenance activities are documented and airworthiness records maintained on relevant systems
- Review and report on effectiveness of maintenance task performance in AGE
- Maintain control and oversight of QAF consolidation including logbook progression
- Provide input to Continuous Improvement activities to improve schedule effectiveness
Requirements
- Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship (e.g., City & Guilds 2675 or 2661) or a recognized Engineering Degree in aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, or avionic engineering
- 2 years practical experience in aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
- Minimum 6 months experience on type in the last two years
- Formal Production Planning and Control training
- Strong people management and motivational skills
- Knowledge of managing and implementing effective safety management systems (SMS)
- Human Factors Standard Course Specification
- E&PW Awareness Standard Course Specification
- ITAR Awareness Standard Course Specification
- IT Literate
- UK driving licence

Role Overview
- The Armaments, Avionics & Survival Equipment Workshop Controller is responsible for ensuring all off aircraft maintenance work is performed to approved data and quality standards.
- Reports to the Deputy Depth Maintenance Manager for organization, administration, control and efficiency of Part 145 Bay Operations.
- Requires high level understanding of Armament & AGE trades and tactical planning to respond to changing customer and product requirements.
Core Activities

Qualifications/Functional Knowledge

Key Accountabilities
- Ensure effective management of Regulatory activities by setting delivery targets and monitoring progress.
- Comply with Regulatory Framework, associated procedures and standards.
- Ensure maintenance activities are compliant with Governance and Assurance framework.
- Management and application of CAA system within Airworthiness Records.
- Demonstrate understanding of Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory Framework.
- Comply with all applicable contractual requirements.
